Applegate, Kerr and Levin forum

Since the Democratic Club of Vista and the Latino Democratic Club are hosting a forum in August, the DVC will not be having a general meeting for this month. Our regular general meetings will continue in September.

Meet the three Democrats; Doug Applegate, Paul Kerr and Mike Levin, who are going to put Issa out of a job. We will have a moderator from The League of Women Voters ask questions submitted by the community. Make sure that you sign up for a ticket via the Eventbrite link!

This is the structure for the Q&A:

1. In a randomly determined order, each candidate will be given 2 minutes to make an opening statement.

2. The LWV moderator will ask questions selected from written questions submitted by the audience. The questions will be screened to avoid duplication, to insure a range of topics and issues, and to avoid questions that are not pertinent to the issues. The candidates will have one minute each to respond to each question. If a question is directed toward one candidate, he/she will answer first and the others will be allowed equal time to speak if they wish.

3. Each candidate will make a closing statement of no more than 1 minute.

This event will be held at 1234 N Santa Fe Ave, Vista, CA 92083-3231. This is a huge hall, so we should have no problems accommodating everyone that wants to come, but to give us a good count to make sure there are enough chairs we need you to sign up for the free Eventbrite tickets.
